What's cool with our Kalan de Mantika?
Some modifications are added to provide more convenience and efficiency to the users. First, a net filter is added to the oil container to prevent blockage and allow only vital material from used cooking oil to pass through, which can be detached for easy cleaning. The structure of the stove is modified by combining features of two prototypes, prototype 1 and prototype 2, making it more compact and adding a solar panel for the blower as an alternative source of electricity incase of power outage. Additionally, handles are added for easier transport. A milliliter measurement label is also added to the oil container to help users monitor and anticipate the amount of used cooking oil required for a specific cooking process.
How to use it?

First, put the right amount of UCO in the kalan and put some tissue on the oil; make sure that half of the tissue is submerged in the UCO.
-
Second, light up the tissue using a match, lighter, torch, etc., and wait until the used cooking oil is heated.
-
Lastly, if the used cooking oil is heated enough, turn the blower on, If the UCO is continuously burning, it is ready for cooking, take note that the blower is what makes fire continuously burning.
